Roberts is the new Boulder King of Bressanone
The Boulder World Cup in Bressanone concluded on Sunday with the victory of Toby Roberts (Great Britain). In the top quality final, the 18-year-old from Surrey prevailed over Dohyun Lee (South Korea) and Yoshiyuki Ogata (Japan) in the sold-out Vertikale. This marked the end of the big Bressanone festival dedicated to climbing, which over the three days of competition attracted around 10,000 spectators to the cathedral city.

Grossmann cheers at the Boulder World Cup in Bressanone
She came, saw and conquered again in the cathedral city: Natalia Grossman won the Boulder World Cup in Bressanone on Saturday evening in style. Chaehyun Seo from South Korea and Stasa Gejo from Serbia completed the podium in front of a full audience. On Sunday, the big South Tyrolean sports festival dedicated to climbing will come to an end with the men’s semi-final (11:00) and final (20:00).

All the top favourite women reach the semi-finals
The first day competitions at the Boulder World Cup in Bressanone came to an end on Friday evening with the men’s qualifications, in which 91 climbers from 37 different countries took part. As in the women’s first round in the morning, there were no surprises here; the favourites solved the tasks with ease. Competitors included the two South Tyroleans Filip Schenk and Michael Piccolruaz, who did not qualify for the semi-finals.

Let the big Boulder party begin!
The long wait for one of the sporting highlights in South Tyrol this year has come to an end. On Friday, 9 June, the Boulder World Cup in the Vertikale in Bressanone will start with the qualifications. The long weekend dedicated to climbing will start on Thursday evening at 20:00 with the Italian premiere of the film festival “REEL ROCK 17”.

A superb starting field at the Boulder World Cup in Bressanone
The official registration deadline for the Boulder World Cup in Bressanone from 9 to 11 June has passed. Around 200 climbers from no less than 45 different countries will be in action in the cathedral city in one and a half weeks – including Olympic champion Alberto Ginés López from Spain and multiple world champion Adam Ondra from the Czech Republic.

The Boulder World Cup is starting in Japan
The Esforta Arena in Hachioji, Japan, will be the venue for the first stage of the Boulder World Cup of the 2023 season this weekend. Bressanone looks forward to a repeat of the great climbing party
Bressanone, 4 April 2023 – This year, from 9 to 11 June, Bressanone will again become the centre of international boulder climbing. After the outstanding success of the World Cup premier last year, it is not surprising that the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) has confirmed the South Tyrolean stage for this season. In 66 days the great climbing festival will start in the Cathedral city; the organisers are once again looking forward to welcoming the international elite. The climbing centre Vertikale will become a climbing station for 3000 excited fans and will once again provide a worthy setting for the event.

2 June: Hubert von Goisern live in concert!
Only a few months ago, the AVS learned that it would once again be able to host the Boulder World Cup this year at the Vertikale Climbing Centre in Bressanone. Now comes the next surprise: the well-known Austrian singer-songwriter Hubert von Goisern will perform at the Vertikale Climbing Stadium.
